From local beauty retail chain to exclusive distributor of premium European brands

The Challenge

In the highly competitive local market for beauty and skincare, which is also rife with high-profile regional players from Korea and Japan, the company was looking for a way to distinguish its offers, as well as to expand its business model.


The Achievement

On the advice of Elit Consulting, DTB Distribution was established as a platform for the company to extend its business model to include distribution.

Through Elit Consulting’s strong relationships with established European brands, DTB was able to secure exclusive distribution rights for premium European products including French skincare brand, Filorga; along with three Italian brands: Marvis, the delicious and innovative toothpaste sensation; Proraso, the shaving products expert; as well as Tenax, the hair care and styling brand extraordinaire.

In 2020 Bioeffect from Iceland, a biotech skincare using plant biotechnology, “Pure Science & Pure Beauty”, founded by three Icelandic scientists.

This strategic move enabled DTB to access a new level of business possibilities, increasing its product offerings in department stores and at its own retail outlets. Today, DTB Distribution has earned itself a distinctive edge as sole distributor of select premium European beauty brands.

The client wanted to expand its business and realise new revenue streams.


The Achievement

Maj Italy was set up to handle the pharmacy’s distribution business. Elit Consulting, through its network of brands, helped Maj Italy to obtain exclusive distributorship status for the No. 1 brand in Poland for sensitive skin, Dermedic. Prior to recommending Dermedic, Elit Consulting undertook due diligence to ensure that the brand and its product ranges were suitable for the Italian market.

Initially selling its products only in its own pharmacies, Maj Italy now distributes Dermedic brand through other pharmacy chains. Today, Maj Italy has discovered an enduring new stream of income, as a distributor rather than just a retailer. It has since achieved 200 points of sales with Dermedic and is keen to launch other brands as their exclusive distributor.
